This was the last weekend of my project. 3 years of travel and at this point about a 147 paintings in. I did, I believe, the last 3 paintings after this one. I’ll tell the story about it in a later photo caption.
There is a tail about the Jack Pine tree. Apparently someone used it for a campfire sometime in the late 50’s. Burned a piece of history, but I don’t think Thomson would have minded actually. He was pretty practical.
